What is the RT3S1 Used For?
Thread restoration repairs can consume a lot of time when you’re using traditional tools. The RT3S1 helps you cut down the entire thread restoration process down to mere seconds.
It’s innovative universal design allows any kind of user, beginner or professional, to swiftly perform minute-long repairs that lead to clean and defined threads.
No experience is needed to efficiently restore dented, dinged, or damaged threads. Simply attach the RT3S1 to your die grinder with the RTM3 Mandrel (sold separately) and start restoring the threads by guiding the tool over the old threads and making your way towards the damaged threads.
You can get it to reach down into small 1-inch holes and restore threads in hard to reach areas, making the RT3S1 an ideal tool for restoring snap-ring grooves, keyways, and square threads inside and outside.
Fix Any Threaded Tool or Material!
The RT3S1 can help you quickly restore threads made out of materials including Metals, Hardened Metals, Ceramics, Glass, and Plastics.
It comes with a 25mm head diameter and a ⅛ inch shank size that makes it easy to manage and guide along damaged threads when it’s rotating at 15,000 RPM.
The tool features a universal 60-degree “V” angle that ensures you always get the right pitch when you’re restoring Internal, External, Inch, Metric, and Pipe threads. This means you no longer need to measure the pitch when you start repairing damaged threads.
Rotary Thread products are made with high-quality materials. The RT3S1 is made with durable steel that can last you years of regular use.
For best performance and long life, we recommend adding tapping oil for added lubrication every time you use the tool. It is also best to clean the tool with non-flammable paint thinner after every use.
